The Smokey Mountains was my first dedicated photography trip. 'The Smokies' doesn't get its name by accident. There was fog everywhere, nearly all the time and it made even the mundane look unbelievable. I went with a long list of goals and while I didn't achieve them all, I certainly did not come away disappointed.

We traveled into New York to stay at the Peek N' Peak Ski resort to witness the totality of the eclipse. It was very overcast and cloudy on this day and each phase of this eclipse was impacted by the clouds. These images were from the brief breaks in cloud cover. While we were not able to witness every phase, we were super lucky to have the Totality of the Eclipse appear for a brief few moments before the clouds covered everything back up!
